Many studies have shown, that up to 8 million dogs end up in in animal shelters annually, with only 15% to 20% ever being reclaimed by their owners. Another study done with 7700 missing dogs 22% of them were returned to their owners due to having chips.
Some owners feel that by having a collar on their dog with their name and address on it is enough. But time and time again collars get caught on stuff and the dog slips them off leaving a dog unidentifiable.

Dogs Day Inn LLC wants to make new and existing puppy owners aware of one of the most infectious diseases. Canine Parvovirus is a highly contagious viral disease and causes death and diarrhea in puppies less than 6 months of age. It appeared in the 1970’s and is one of the worst frequent puppy diseases, especially in shelters, kennels and anywhere numerous animals are together. It can be exasperated by the various kinds of worms that infect puppies. When caught early and quick aggressive therapy started as soon as signs are apparent the prognosis for puppies caught early can be quite good, but fatalities occur.

Its called the Yellow Dog Project. The concept is so simple that I am surprised its not used more. If your dog is one that needs its space while being walked you tie a yellow ribbon on its leash. This doesn’t mean your dog is mean, as there are many reasons a dog doesn’t want to be petted by strangers or sniffed by strange dogs.

Crate training your dog makes it easier to board a dog without a crate as it is used to being in enclosed areas, and learns to ask to go outside to do its business.
Starting with when you bring your puppy home, or rescued dog, it will have bad habits as they are an animal and our homes make great places to urinate and deposit waste, and give ample opportunities to chew on furniture worth thousands of dollars.

Bordetella is one of the causes of the canine upper respiratory disease, “kennel cough.” It is a bacterial infection of the respiratory system of dogs characterized by hard, honking cough that is inducible on tracheal palpation,. It is a very contagious airborne disease. Most cases appear after contact with other dogs in kennels, grooming parlors and other places where dogs congregate. The Incubation time for Bordetella infection can be as long as 2 weeks from exposure to the organism to the time signs develop.
